Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home having a combined gross domestic earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any nsfas status proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
